TRAVERSE CITY — Edwin “Ted” Mace, 81, of Traverse City, passed away Oct. 31, 2013, in Traverse City. He was born on May 13, 1932, in Detroit, the son of Dr. William and Dorothy (Griffith) Mace.
Ted was a designer for Ford Motor Company, retiring after 30 years.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Crankin T’s.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Wright) Mace; they were married in 1993 in Bellaire; stepchildren, Stephen (Rebecca) Northcott, of East Pointe, Peter Northcott, of Birmingham, Ala., and Christopher Northcott, of Bay City; four step-grandchildren; and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dr. James Mace.
Cremation has taken place. Ted will be buried privately next to his parents in Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills, Mich.
