RAPID CITY — Dewayne Paul Tuller, 59, of Rapid City, passed away in his home after battling illness, Monday, Sept. 2, 2013. Dewayne was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., June 28, 1954, to Cecil Albert Tuller and Ardis Fern (Day) Tuller.
Dewayne graduated from Kalkaska High school 1973. Students during this time liked to go incognito so they gave each other nick names; Dewayne was known as “Fuzzy Bear.”
Dewayne was a confirmed bachelor who loved collecting and had an eclectic collection. He was unable to work due to an accident that happened when he was a young adult. He didn’t let his raging headaches stop him from being an active member of his church, Torch Lake Assembly of God, or spending time with his family and friends. “Fuzzy Bear” was able to visit with his old classmates last year at the ’72-’73 class reunion. Dewayne was known for his wit when playing euchre, as well as just being a funny and a nice person to be around.
Dewayne is survived by his older brothers, Dan (Wanda) Tuller and Doug (Bev) Tuller, of Rapid City; as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Dewayne was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Tuller; his mother, Ardis Tuller; and his younger brother, David Tuller.
Cremation has taken place. A small graveside service will be held at the Clearwater Township Cemetery in Rapid City at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
Arrangements were made by Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home.
