BEULAH — Rev. Elmer William “Bill” Gram, of Beulah, 83, as a servant of the living God our husband, father, and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.
Bill became an ordained minister in 1951. His first pastorate was a circuit of three churchs; Curtsville, Sound Branch and Goodar located in northeastern lower Michigan. In the years to follow he pastored Brooklyn Baptist Church, Brooklyn, Mich., Trinity Baptist Church in Imlay City, Mich. and Calvary Baptist Church Rapid City, Mich. and Grace Baptist Church in Belleville, Mich. In later years he was an active member of Eden Bible Church in Beulah. Bill had a beautiful singing voice and used it for the glory of God.
Bill loved and enjoyed his immediate and extended family. Bill and Arlee enjoyed hosting family reunions at their home in Beulah for many years. His wife, children, and grandchildren will long remember him as a wise, strong, yet gentle, loving father and grandfather.
The family would like to thank the staff at Paul Oliver Living Center for their kind, gentle, compassionate care during his stay there.
He is survived by his wife, Arlee; children, Phillip (Diane) Gram of Interlochen, Paul Gram of Cannon Falls, Minn., Yvonne Sippola of Grawn, and Bonnie (Paul) White of Kingsley, Mich.; grandchildren, Kelly Davis, Lucas (Sarah) Gram, Brett, Elizabeth and Elyse McElderry, Matthew (Carrie), Kristopher (Ashley) and Nicholas (Darcey) White; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Jowett Family Funeral Homes, Benzonia. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20 at Eden Bible Church, 7991 Worden Road, Beulah, with Pastor Dan Ingersoll officiating. Burial will take place in Homestead Township Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Eden Bible church for the purpose of youth mission trips.
