---- — LUGOFF, S.C. — Mr. Bronson, 71, of Lugoff, S.C., husband of Nevada Haynes Bronson, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013. Born in Empire, he was the son of the late Percy J. and Ellen Rose Zeigler Bronson.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of the VFW and the J. Leroy Belk American Legion Post 17.

Mr. Bronson graduated from Glen Lake High School in Empire.

He was retired from DuPont and was a member and former deacon of First Baptist Church in Camden, S.C.

Surviving beside his wife are son, Kevin Bronson (Bette), of Rock Hill, S.C.; daughter, M. Denise Burton (Neil), of Clemson, S.C.; and grandchildren, Ben and Tatum Rose Bronson, Connor, Grace Ellen, Mary Claire and Ian Burton.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Bronson; and a brother, George Bronson.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Percy William Bronson will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Camden, S.C. The Rev. Bruce Hancock and the Rev. Joe Stines will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel.

Memorials may be made in Mr. Bronson’s memory to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 1201 Broad Street, Camden, SC 29020.
