---- — FRANKFORT — Wilma May Kuerth, 92, of Honor, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at The Maples in Frankfort. She was born May 27, 1921, in Honor, the daughter of William and Anna (Covey) Snow.
Wilma, at the age of 62, earned her culinary degree and was a talented cook. She traveled around the United States cooking at various restaurants and institutions. She even cooked on a submarine.
Wilma will be remembered for her giving spirit. She volunteered at The Maples and was very involved in her community. In her spare time, she loved to play cards, board games, and spend time with her family.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Kuerth of Honor and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Shirley Irene Mickelin; and her siblings, Earl, Lincoln, Ben, Fern, Ada, Mable, and Marvel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah, with the Reverend Daniel E. Furman officiating. Interment will follow in the Champion Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home.
