MUSKEGON — Patricia Ann Dabrowski-Scribner-Dennert, age 66, of Muskegon, passed away on Jan. 30, 2013, after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Patricia was born on Sept. 19, 1946, in Muskegon, to the late Anthony and Helen Dabrowski.
She was a 1964 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School and continued her education at Muskegon Community College and the University of Louisville, where she earned a degree in elementary education.
She returned to Michigan, where she continued to love and inspire children.
Pat was a devoted mother, grandmother and teacher and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Laurie (Erik) Huffman, of Norton Shores, and Mary (Kevin) Douglas, of Interlochen; her three beloved grandchildren, Mkena, Jaxon and Addisyn Huffman; her true love, Jerry Dennert, of Hart; her sister, Michelle Kasper (Brent Worms), of Traverse City; two brothers, Anthony Dabrowski, of Mishawaka, Ind., and Steve (Nancy) Dabrowski, of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law, Janis Sheggrud; nephews and nieces, Andy and Caitlin Dabrowski, Eric Sheggrud, Jana Quinn, Connie Timmer, Kristine Temple and Mitch Sheggrud; and her stepchildren, Jenna Hickman, Adam and Amber Dennert.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Harbor Light Christian Center in Traverse City, with Pastor Pete Moon officiating. The service will be at 1 p.m., with the family accepting friends at noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Harbor Light Christian Center, Traverse City, or Noah Project, Muskegon.
