KALKASKA — Phillip H. "PHT" Trombley, 58, passed away at his home in Kalkaska on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012. He was born on March 8, 1954, in Mt. Clemens, to Francis and Adelaide (Hynes) Trombley.
Phillip graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 1972 in Clinton Twp., where he was active in the math and sports departments, including participation on the wrestling team. He then went on and graduated from Lawrence Tech with a degree in electrical engineering. Phillip worked in the automotive field in the Detroit area before moving to Kalkaska 20 years ago to help care for his parents, to whom he was lovingly devoted.
Phillip is survived by his beloved father, Francis C. Trombley, of Kalkaska; his dear brothers and sisters, Carrol Cantor, of Alpena, Alan Trombley, of San Antonio, Texas, Rose Trombley, of Kalkaska, Margaret (Gary) Smith, of Sand Pointe, Idaho, David Trombley, of Ann Arbor, and Diane (Cass) Budzynowski, of Traverse City; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and two brothers, Dale and Francis.
Funeral services for Phillip will be held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kimberland Hough, of the Garfield Country Church, officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
