CLEVELAND TOWNSHIP — Dorothy Ann Mulliner, 72, of Maple City, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at her home. Dorothy was born on Feb. 22, 1941, in Flint, to Raymond A. and Pauline A. (Urbanik) Stefaniak.
After graduating from St. Michael’s High School she studied nursing and enjoyed a 30-year career as a LPN.
On Nov. 9, 1963, Dorothy married H. Stanley Mulliner at All Saints Church in Flint, where they made their home until moving to Maple City in 1970. Together they raised five sons.
Dorothy had an upbeat personality and was very strong in her faith and devotion to the church. Over the years, Dorothy enjoyed watching old movies, gardening, tending to her houseplants and caring for her many cats. She became an expert ceramic painter and specialized in Santas of all kinds. Dorothy also enjoyed 15 years working summers at Waukazoo Tee’s in Northport.
Dorothy is survived by her former husband, Stan Mulliner; sons, Raymond Mulliner, of Maple City, Steven (Mark) Mulliner, of Traverse City, Philip Mulliner, of Traverse City, Paul Mulliner, of Maple City, and David (Alison) Mulliner, of Cedar; two granddaughters, Amber Mulliner, of St. Augustine, Fla., and Chelsea Mulliner, of Prattville, Ala.; and a great-grandson, Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m., at St. Rita Catholic Church in Maple City. Burial will follow at St. Rita Cemetery. The Rev. Zeljki Guberovic will serve as celebrant.
