---- — GERMFASK — Former Traverse City resident and veteran of World War II, Adolph H. “Tom” Koelsch, 89, of Germfask, a faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ, was called home Thursday afternoon, June 6, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn on Jan. 16, 1996; siblings, Margaret Goetzinger and Bernice Albreicht; and grandchildren, Kevin Jaques, Julie Safronoff and Diane Solgot.
Survivors include his children, Judith Fikes, of Traverse City, Faye (Dave) Gilley, of South Carolina, Nancy (Dave) Panek, of Cedar, Michael (Cheryl) Koelsch, of St. Clair, and Laurie Koelsch, of Traverse City; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Doreen Jaschke, of Brainerd, Minn.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family; and his faithful companion, “Spyder”, his whippet dog.
Per request, cremation services were accorded. A gathering of family and friends celebrating the life of Tom Koelsch will be held Saturday Aug. 3, 2013, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Germfask Community Center, 8093 Pine Street, Germfask, MI.
