RAY TOWNSHIP — Ursula E. Holz, age 87, a resident of Ray Township for 11 years and previously from Shelby Township, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Ursula was born Jan. 22, 1927, in Detroit, the daughter of Johann and Augusta Schmidtke.
Ursula was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Shelby Township, where she spent many years singing in the choir. In later years she attended church with her daughter, Gail, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washington Township.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching old John Wayne movies, knew every “The Walton’s” TV show by heart, but most of all, just enjoyed being with her family and friends.
Ursula is survived by her children, Gail (Larry) Feeback, of Ray Township, and Mark (JoAnn) Holz, of New Haven. She is also survived by grandchildren, Mark, Stacy and Gretchen; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Reese and Layla.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Herman and John Schmidtke.
Funeral services have taken place. Burial will be in Prestonville/St. John Cemetery in Shelby Township.
