---- — “…do all in the name of the Lord Jesus…”
MEDFORD, Ore. — June Marie Morse was born in Traverse City, on June 2, 1941, the youngest of five girls born to Golden and Ethel Edenburn. June sang in “The Five J’s,” a 1940’s gospel family performing group named for the five Edenburn sisters: Jean, Joan, Janet, Judy, and June. The Five J’s toured the United States for more than a decade.
In July of 1958, June met her future husband, Conrad Morse, at Hume Lake Christian Camp in California. They were married in Sept. of 1959 and resided for 11 years in Burbank, where their four children, Doug, Charlene, Curt, and Brian were born. In 1970 the Morse family moved to Medford, Ore.
June loved to sing in the church choir, trios, and ensembles, as well as solos and duets with her husband.
The quality of June’s life is seen in the richness of her devotions. June was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ. Her dedication to God shaped more than 40 years of friendships at First Baptist Church in Medford. She supported Grace Christian School from its founding in 1974 through its growth and addition of Cascade Christian High School. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren unconditionally.
Those who knew her will miss her beautiful smile, generous heart, and encouraging nature.
June is survived by, Conrad, her husband of 54 years; her four adult children, Doug, Charlene (Morse) Phelps, Curt, and Brian; her 14 grandchildren; and her four sisters, Jean Abma, Joan Lile, Janet Sandell and Judy Sadler.
