---- — WESTERN SPRINGS, Ill. — Eric Henry Grush, age 40, died on Friday, July 26, 2013.
He was the beloved husband and best friend of Linda; adoring father of Ella and Adam; devoted son of Hank and Joyce Grush; loving brother of Heather (Charles) Schultz and Jeremy (Jessica) Grush; proud uncle of Anne and James Schultz, Lydia Grush, Samuel, Andrew and Abby Oehmcke, and Charlie and Noah Hornbeck.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Beulah Lilley, and Mable and Norman Fowler.
Eric earned his undergraduate degree with distinction in 1995 from the University of Michigan. In 1998 he received his JD degree, cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He was Senior Editor of the University Pennsylvania Law Review.
He joined Sidley Austin LLP in 1999 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Kenneth F. Ripple of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He practiced in the Chicago office in Litigation – Commercial, Competition & Securities Group and became a partner in 2006.
A memorial service took place Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church LaGrange, 150 South Ashland Avenue, LaGrange, IL 60525.
