KALKASKA — Stormi Ann Elkins, 15 years old, of Kalkaska, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on July 5, 2013.
Stormi Elkins, born Feb. 5, 1998, was a very strong and passionate young woman. She was one to always be the first to stand up for what was right or what she believed in. Love of family, friends and the Lord were a huge driving force in Stormi’s life. To know Stormi was to love Stormi.
She is survived by her mother, Angel Elkins; grandmother, Francis Elkins; sister, Sage Elkins; uncles, Randy (Lindsey Rowell) Elkins and Fabian Pluszczynski, all of Kalkaska; grandfather, David Pluszczynski, of Colorado; uncle, Keith Elkins, of Florida; uncle, David Pluszczynski, of Detroit; aunt, Theresa Lipscomb, also of Detroit; as well as dozens of great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
Stormi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buck and Joyce Tracey.
As much as Stormi loved music of all kinds, the soundtrack of such a beautiful person’s life, although cut much too short, will forever play on in the hearts of many.
Visitation will be held today, July 7, from 3 to 8 p.m., at Kalkaska Funeral Home. A service will be held at 11 a.m., with final visitation beginning at 10 a.m., Monday, July 8, at Evergreen Bible Baptist Church.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Kalkaska Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
