GRAWN — Russell O’Brien, of Grawn, passed away on Oct. 26, 2013, at the age of 71. He was born in Quincy, Mass., on May 14, 1942.
Russ had an Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy; he served four years from June 7, 1960, to May 24, 1965. He received a medal for Good Conduct on June 6, 1963.
Russ was a police officer for the Boston, Mass., Police Department for six years. He had many jobs since being a police officer, which include being a nurses aide, working for the post office and a delivery truck driver for Art’s Auto and Truck Parts for the last 13 years.
Russ is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Meyers) O’Brien; by children, Michael and Michelle O’Brien, stepson, Timothy Sabin; stepdaughter, Donna (Sabin) Luinstra; son-in-law, Timothy Luinstra; sister, Nancy (Raymond) Dixon; granddaughter, Kaylee Luinstra; as well as many nieces, nephews and other grandchildren.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and John O’Brien.
He will be missed by many friends and family members.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
