Tina Marie Rice

DUNNELLON, Fla. — Tina Marie Rice, 42, of Dunnellon, Fla., formerly of Copemish, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Fla. She was born Aug. 17, 1969, in Mt. Clemens, the daughter of James Ross and Jeri Ross.

Tina was an avid hunter and gardener who loved to can vegetables. She loved making crafts and enjoyed painting and making wreaths. She loved horses and being outdoors. Most of all, Tina loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.

On Nov. 16, 1997, in Louisiana, Tina married William Rice, who survives her. She is also survived by five children, Ashley (Adam) Carpenter, of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Amber (Larry) Thayler, of Mt. Clemens, Michael Waid, of Benzonia, Aaron Waid, of Alabama, and Billy Rice, of Ocala, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jordan and Sahara Thayler, of Mt. Clemens, and Jaxon and Riley Carpenter, of San Diego, Calif.; three siblings, Nora (Jim) Romines, of Clinton Township, Tim Ross, of Texas, and Sara (Larry Jr.) King, of Tomball, Texas; two step siblings, Greg (Leslie) Elya, of St. Clair Shores, and Geri (Michael) Blish, of Columbus; four nieces and nephews, Kaycee, Madison, Tyler and Lauren; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William C. and Dona Rice, of Ripley, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tina was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva, with the Reverend Daniel E. Furman officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of services at the Terwilliger Funeral Home.
