KINGSLEY — James V. Lovergine, age 69, of Kingsley, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Munson Hospice House.
He was born Feb. 13, 1944, in Omaha, Neb., to James and Helen (Capanelli) Lovergine and grew up in New York. James graduated from Bayside High School in Bayside, N.Y., He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a plane mechanic. James was a U.S. Sky Marshal and also worked for the U.S. Customs Service in Detroit where he retired as a supervisor in 1995. James married Nicole Viane on April 28, 1990. Upon retirement, James and Nicole moved to Kingsley.
James was a member of St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church since 1996. In his spare time, James was an antiques dealer. He was a gunsmith and an excellent marksman, competing in many shooting competitions. James enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and was an excellent cook.
James is survived by his spouse, Nicole; sister, Candice Sadowsky of New York; nieces, Jaimie and Dawn; and great-niece Haley.
James was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial with Committal afterwards will take place Monday, July 8, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Conner as celebrant.
