MANISTEE — Dr. Gregory Anthony Cornish, 71, of Manistee, died May 21, 2014, at his home. He was born Oct. 5, 1942, in Detroit, and was the son of the late John and Louisa (Kay) Cornish.
Gregory graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School and served his internship at the Chicago Osteopathic Hospital in Chicago.
He had a private practice in Beulah for many years.
Greg was a very giving person in his medical practice and in his personal life. He was loved dearly by many of his friends, associates and family.
He also enjoyed fishing and baseball and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle M. Cornish, of Beulah.
Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the Manistee Seventh Day Adventist Church, 205 Maple St., Manistee, with Pastor Richard Mendoza officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.
A luncheon will follow the service at the church hall.
