TRAVERSE CITY — William “Bill” Marvin Hennrick, 63, of Traverse City, passed away on April 26, 2014. Bill was born in Traverse City on July 29, 1950, to the late William and Hildagarde (Ranger) Hennrick. He attended and graduated from Traverse City Central High School in 1969.
He married his wife, Emily L. (Vert) Hennrick, on July 29, 1972, at St. Francis Catholic Church and the couple had one son together while living in Traverse City. Bill worked as a service technician for the Pepsi Cola Company. He was a NASCAR fan and held a passion in his younger days for driving Camaros. He especially enjoyed driving his Power Quest speed boat and taking annual trips with his Jayco camper to the Upper Peninsula with friends, Mark and Cathy Pfaehler. He was a humble man and will be remembered most for his big smile and his enduring love for his wife, son and grandson Jacob.
He is survived by his wife, Emily; son, Nicholas (Leigh Anne) Hennrick; grandson, Jacob Hennrick; sisters, Roberta (Bernie) Derks of Interlochen, and Karen (Steve) Heimforth of Suttons Bay. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Donna Medrano. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
