THOMPSONVILLE — Dorothy Margaret Lettau, 90, of Thompsonville, died Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Paul Oliver Living and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Hamlet, Ind., the daughter of Rudolph and Dolly (Bennett) Zilch.
In her younger years Dorothy enjoyed embroidery and crocheting. She also loved to cook, sew, garden and read. Most of all, Dorothy loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Donnetta (Floyd) Lillie, of Thompsonville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
On Sept. 19, 1942, Dorothy married Donald Lettau, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bernard “Bud” Zilch; nephew, Jay Zilch; and her sister-in-law, Peggy Zilch.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva, with Dr. Paul S. Hammer officiating. Interment will be in the Blaine Township Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
