---- — WILLIAMSFIELD, Ohio — Arthur Michael Zinz Jr., 75, of Williamsfield, Ohio, died Friday, March 1, 2013, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa. Born June 16, 1937, in Sharon, Pa., he was the son of Arthur and Ruth Rohrbach Zinz Sr.
He served four years with the U.S. Navy and was retired from the United States Coast Guard, having been stationed in Michigan, Alaska and Louisiana.
He enjoyed sailing, camping, kayaking and beekeeping.
Survivors include his children, Arthur Zinz III, of Greenville, Ohio, Patrick Zinz and his wife, Mela Calemino-Zinz, Alex McGill and his wife, Kimberly, of Clarion, Pa., and Ruth Gayetty and her husband, Joe of Reno, Pa.; two sisters, Nora Zinz, of Edinboro, Pa., and Jane Canfield, of Saegertown, Pa.; a brother, David Zinz, of Townville, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Michael Zinz, Rachel Gayetty, Rebekah Gayetty, Lexa McGill, Josiah Gayetty, Aidan McGill and Tiernan Zinz; and a great-granddaughter, Rosalie Gayetty.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank and Dale Zinz.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
The Dickson Family Funeral Home, Inc., Cochranton, Pa., is in charge of arrangements.
