BELLAIRE — James F. Stewart, 76, of Bellaire, passed away at Munson Medical Center on July 11, 2013. He was born on Nov. 22, 1936, in Detroit.
James graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit and continued his education at Lawrence Tech, earning his degree in mechanical engineering.
He married Barbara Myers in August of 1959.
James worked as a shop manager for Welk-ko Fabricators in Livonia for over 15 years. He also served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
James was a true do-it-yourself guy. He built a log cabin home where he spent many days fishing and tinkering around his cabin. He loved nature and being outdoors feeding the ducks and wild turkeys.
James is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; son, Craig Stewart; daughters, Traci Stewart and Linda Namie; granddaughter, Stephanie; and sister, Ruth (Bill) Packard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Neil and Agnes Stewart; and daughter, Amy Stewart.
There are no services planned at this time.
