Joseph A. Ruggirello

KINGSLEY — Joseph A. Ruggirello, 46, of Kingsley, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2010, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born Oct. 1, 1963, in Ferndale, to Paul and Judie (King) Ruggirello.

Joe married Michelle P. Olko Aug. 1, 1987, in Warren. In 1990, Joe and Michelle moved to Kingsley, where they raised their three sons, Joshua Reed, Zachary Joseph and Anthony Lee in the house which he designed and constructed.

Joe loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a passion to find and restore old tractors. He worked as a welder, roofer, and in construction, and was always willing to lend his time and skills to anyone in need.

Joe was a compassionate man who loved and cherished his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all.

Joe is survived by his wife, Michelle; his three sons, Joshua, Zachary and Anthony; his mother, Sr. Judie Ann (King) Ruggirello of Detroit; his stepfather, Ronald (Jacklyn) Waszkiewicz, of Shelby Twp.; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Lorraine Olko, of Warren; his brothers, Paul (Renee) Ruggirello, Jason (Amy) Ruggirello, both of Sterling Heights, John (Angela) Ruggirello of Macomb; his sisters, Julie Ruggirello, of Clinton Twp., Penny (Moses) Huber, of St. Clair Shores; and 24 nephews and nieces.

Joe was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Wolfe-O'Neill Funeral Home in Kalkaska, with a scripture service at 7 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of Hannah Catholic Church, 2912 West M-113, Kingsley.
