TRAVERSE CITY — William “Billy” Clark Jr., 54, passed away June 12, 2014. He was from Traverse City and Buckley. Billy was born in Columbus, Ga., Oct. 27, 1959, to Sgt. William and Claire Clark.
He attended Buckley school and while in high school joined the U.S. Army. He was in the Army for three years.
When he got out of the Army he worked at several welding jobs.
Billy liked hunting but loved fishing, and he always caught the biggest fish.
In 1992 he married the love of his life, Sheila Pickard, his best friend. She survives.
Billy is also survived by his father, William Clark; brothers, Thomas, Richard and Dave Clark; one sister, Kellé Tyson; stepbrothers, Dale Sheldon Jr. and Robert Sheldon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his mother, Claire Clark; and stepbrother, Rex Sheldon.
A memorial service will be held Aug. 2, at 1:30 p.m., at Buckley Tabernacle, with Pastor Zachary Slazar officiating. A luncheon will be held following a Traverse City VFW Honor Guard service, also at the church.
Billy is loved and missed by all.
