TRAVERSE CITY — Tracy Lyn Cook, 43, of Traverse City, passed peacefully at home on May 30, 2014, after a long struggle with cancer. Tracy was born on Dec. 13, 1970, in Kingsville, Texas, to Jerry Hopkins and Victoria (Fasel) Walters.
She married Thomas Cook, her best friend and soul mate, on Aug. 24, 1991. Together they raised two daughters and worked to build their business, Hocus Pocus.
She loved taking care of her gardens and mowing the lawn.
Surviving Tracy are her husband, Tom; daughters, Chantel and Nina; her parents, Jerry Hopkins and Victoria (Jeff) Walters; her brother and sister-in law, Scot and Carrie Hopkins; nephews, Ivan and Dane; great-uncle, Jack Carlisle; aunts, uncles and cousins, Pam and Dan Forton, their sons and families; Joanne and Barry Couturier and their daughters; Greg Fasel, his sons and families; Michelle and Chaz Edwards and their daughters; Ed and Doris Hopkins and children; Barb and Curt Barr and their sons; Allan and Lequita Hopkins and their children.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and great-aunt, Carol.
A gathering and memorial service to celebrate Tracy’s walk through life will be held at a later date.
