TRAVERSE CITY — Robert “Bob” Allen Descalopoulis, 62, of Traverse City, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was a dedicated Daddy, a kind and gentle man, who loved old movies with Humphrey Bogart and Edward G. Robinson, just to name a few. Dad loved ‘60s Mustangs and raced them in his youth.
He was a fine cook who carried on the family dishes of Greek, Armenian and Italian traditions.
One of Bob’s favorite one-liners was, “You’re born, you live, then life plays its funny little trick ... you die.”
He is survived by his daughters, Jacki Descalopoulis, of Traverse City, and Paula (Gary) Coulier, of Howell; granddaughter, Sarah Coulier; and brother, Larry (Sara) Descalopoulis of John's Creek, Georgia.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Agnes Descalopoulis, also of Traverse City.
Private family services were held.
Memorial contributions may be made to Munson Hospice in Bob’s memory.
