ELBERTA — Frank Smith, 65, of Elberta, died July 21, 2013, at Spectrum Hospital in Zeeland. Born in Flint on Oct. 27, 1947, he was the son of Edward and Mary Smith.
Frank honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving two tours in Vietnam.
Frank was a proud man with a generous heart who was always finding ways to help others. He volunteered a lot of his time with Habitat for Humanity. He was the jack of all trades.
He worked for the National Parks for 23 years and three years with the City of Frankfort.
He is survived by his companion of four years, Grace L. Hitt, of Hopkins; son, Jack Smith; grandchildren, Bradley and Naomi Smith, Amanda Paschall and Robert (Nikki) Paschall.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Linda; and grandson, Christopher Luedtke.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, at Gilmore Twp. Cemetery. The Rev Bruce Rose will officiate.
