---- — INTERLOCHEN — Constance “Connie” Ann Graebner, 66, of Interlochen, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Munson Medical Center.
Connie was born on June 8, 1947, in Bay City, Mich., to the late Albert and Alice (Krause) LaVictoire. She went to Delta College to learn about medical records. Following her schooling, she met and married the love of her life, William “Bill” Ray Graebner on June 8, 1968, in Bay City. Together they lovingly raised two sons.
Connie liked to read and do crafts. She enjoyed golfing with her husband and her friends at Interlochen Golf Course, Elmbrook and other various golf courses. She played golf every day that she could and was a devoted member of the Interlochen Golf Course for 35 years. She was also a member at Trinity Lutheran Church for over 40 years. Family however, was most important to Connie. She truly treasured time spent with her grandchildren and she loved them very much.
Connie will be remembered for her grace, dignity and genuine personality. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and golfing partner. Her smile and positive attitude will be remembered forever.
Surviving Connie is her husband of 45 years, Bill; sons, Christopher Graebner, and Corey (Melissa) Graebner; grandchildren, Nellie, Chloe, Leah, and Peyten; brother, Kerry LaVictoire; sisters-in-law, Christine Graebner and Denice Graebner; special cousin, Mel and Sandy Graham; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and special golfing partners.
A memorial service will be held for Connie at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with a visitation held one hour prior. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Mott Children’s Hospital or the Traverse City Junior Golf Association.
