BELLAIRE — Peggy J. Coucke, 75, of Bellaire, passed away on March 3, 2013, at Munson Medical Center.
Peggy was born on May 24, 1937, in Detroit, the daughter of John Terry and Clementine (DeMeyer). Peggy was a Bellaire resident since 1986 and was a long-time member of St. Luke Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Third Order of St. Dominic. She enjoyed doing family genealogy and was a faithful and active member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire. On Feb. 8, 1964, she married Richard J. Coucke, who survives.
Also surviving are four children, Ronald (Nancy) Coucke, Aimee (Vasilios) Minitsios, Todd Coucke and Kyle (Lisa) Coucke. In addition to her children, she is survived by six grandchildren, Michiel, Joshua, Ryan, Kyle Jr., Hailey and Angellee Coucke; two step-grandchildren, Brittany Coucke, and Bradley Harvey; and two brothers, Edwin (Darice) Bjorkvist and Gregory (Carol) Terry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Bonita DeWorken.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church in Bellaire. Fr. James Gardiner will officiate. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 6, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery in the spring.
