HOLLAND — James Parker, age 84 of Holland, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Holland Hospital.
Jim was member of First Reformed Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Jim worked for Bohn Aluminum for many years, and eventually retired from Woodmatic. He was a skilled and talented woodworker. In his spare time, he liked to play pool, play golf and fish.
Jim was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Parker; second wife, Norma Naber Parker; a son, Arthur Dale Parker; son-in-law, D.J. Harrington; and a stepson, Andre Naber.
Surviving are a son and daughter, Michael Parker, and Mary Harrington of Holland; daughter-in-law, Shirley Parker; grandchildren, Adam Dale Resseguie, Jamie Lynn Harrington and fiance’ Eric Enger of Traverse City, Leanne Marie and A.J. Abbas of Battle Creek, and Sonny and Renee’ David of Holland. Jim is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at First Reformed Church, 630 State Street, Holland. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Daniel Gillett. A time of visitation will follow the service at the church.
