---- — TRAVERSE CITY — Courtney Anne Scafe, 45, of Traverse City, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, in Traverse City.
Courtney was born Nov. 14, 1967, in Flint, the daughter of Louie and Judy (Jacobs) Scafe.
She graduated from Powers High School in 1985 and Arizona State University in 1989, receiving a B.A. degree in communications.
She was an assistant manager at the Hagerty Insurance Agency in Traverse City, having worked there for eight years.
Courtney is survived by her parents, Louie and Judy Scafe, of Flushing; sisters, Whitney K. and husband, Steve Barker, of Kalamazoo, and Morgan and husband, Russ Douglass, of Flushing; nephews, Clayton and Mitchell Barker; niece, Rielle Rose Douglass; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
The family gives a special thank you to Meghan Crissinger.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Rossell Funeral Home, 307 E. Main St., Flushing, MI. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
