COPEMISH — Connie Lee Humphrey, 50, of Copemish, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was born July 1, 1963, in Utica, the daughter of Joseph and Gloria (Decker) Schwartz.
Connie worked as a nurse for Munson Medical Center for 11 years and was currently a nurse at the Benzie, Grand Traverse and Manistee County jails.
Connie loved the outdoors. In her spare time she loved to kayak and camp. She also enjoyed stock car racing. Most of all, Connie loved to spend time with her family.
On Aug. 28, 2004, Connie married Todd Scott Humphrey, who survives her. She is also survived by her children, Kara (Mike), of Armada, and Wyatt Joseph Humphrey, of Copemish; her grandchildren, Lily and Mariya Dislin, of Armada; her mother, Gloria Schwartz, of Shelby Township; her sister, Susan (Mark Baliki) Schwartz, of Shelby Township; her niece, Shawn (Dave) Wener, of Marine City; her great-nephews, Dave and Kyle Wener, of Marine City; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Vonnie Humphrey, of Bear Lake; and her brother-in-law, Bill (Kathy Gray) Humphrey, of Copemish.
Connie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Schwartz; and by her brother, John Schwartz.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 4, 2013, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home, Kaleva, with the Reverend Cy Bowman officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until time of services at the Terwilliger Funeral Home.
