NORTHPORT — Priscilla Thomas, 98, of Northport, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Tendercare of Suttons Bay.
Priscilla was born on May 23, 1914, in Rogers City, the daughter of Ernest and Hazel (Gilhrich) Besaw. On Sept. 21, 1938, she was married to Frederick Thomas, together raising five children.
Priscilla worked as an office manager for Drs. Kolberg and Schrader in Northport, and was one of the first employees at the hospital in Northport. She was a member of the Eagles Club #383 in Traverse City. Priscilla was a great mom and easily made friends. She enjoyed gardening, making crafts, playing cards, and fishing.
Priscilla is survived by four children, John (Margot) Thomas, Frederick (Sharon) Thomas, Barbara (Larry) Richmond, and Patricia (Jeffrey) Richards; son-in-law, Dale VanWormer; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Ernest and Hazel Besaw; husband, Frederick in 1991; and her daughter, Judith VanWormer.
A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 19, at 11 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Northport, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
