Norma 'Pat' M. Gibb

HONOR — Norma “Pat” Marcella Gibb, 92, of Honor, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at the Good Samaritan Society in Blackduck, Minn. She was born on May 24, 1921, in Tulsa, Okla., to Bert and Pearl (Moore) Patterson.

Norma grew up and attended school in Tulsa. She lived and worked there until her family moved to Littleton, Colo., in 1964.

She married Jack Gibb on Sept. 19, 1952.

She spent her summers in Honor until she moved permanently there in 2002. She enjoyed camping, sailing and canoeing. She loved living on Platte Lake, where she spent enjoyable times with her large circle of friends, the “Wednesday Nighters.” She was an avid crafter and enjoyed sewing.

She was devoted to her family and was a member of the Disciples of Christ Church and a member of the Choctaw Tribe.

She is survived by three daughters, Claudia (David) Prince, of Tulsa, Okla., Sally (Kirk) Goble, of Greeley, Colo., and Debina (Dave) Potts, of Mizpah, Minn.; and a brother, Bert Patterson, of Norman, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gibb; and her mother, Pearl Moore.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at the Platte Township Cemetery in Honor, with the Rev. Daniel E. Furman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Platte Lake Improvement Association in Honor.

Cease Funeral Home of Blackduck, Minn., and Bennett-Barz Funeral Home of Beulah assisted with arrangements.
