Traverse City Record-Eagle

---- — MAPLE CITY — Glen Stanley Flaska, 86, of Maple City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Munson Medical Center. Glen was born at the family home in Maple City on March 9, 1927, to the late Delbert and Tillie (King) Flaska.

Following his time in school he went to work for Ford Garage. Not too long after he started to work he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served during World War II.

Upon his return from the service he went to work for Lockheed in California making helicopter blades.

Also, he was dedicated member of the Maple City Lions Club for many years.

Most importantly, Glen will be remembered for his white Hummer and the love he had for his family. He was a good man, and his gentle smile will be missed by all who knew him.
