---- — TRAVERSE CITY — Susan Paula “Sue” Millner, 60, of Traverse City, died Sunday morning, March 18, 2013, at Tendercare of Traverse City.
Born Nov. 12, 1952, in Petoskey, she was the daughter of Bernard Wayne and Janelda Ruth (Chevalier) Cassidy. On September 7, 1982, in Traverse City, she married Buford Millner.
She graduated from St. Francis Xavier School in Petoskey with the Class of 1970. She was a member of the school band and the National Honor Society.
Sue loved to travel and enjoyed her visits to Italy, Mexico, France, Aruba, Austria, Canada and Hawaii, along with many states within the United States. She also relished working in her flower garden.
She will be fondly remembered as a beautiful, elegant, intelligent lady who was very supportive, forgiving, and possessed a strong and courageous personality. Sue was always encouraging those around her to try new things.
She is survived by her husband, Buford Millner; sons, James Millner, Joseph (Osmara) Millner, and Michael Millner all of Traverse City; three grandchildren; mother, Janelda Cassidy of Alanson; brother, Gary (Alison) Cassidy of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Peggy Cassidy of Petoskey; along with many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Daniel Millward will officiate.
