LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Anne Clark, of Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013. Anne was born in Marquette and lived much of her life in and near Traverse City.
She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in journalism.
During her life she was an avid tennis and bridge player.
After the death of her husband in 2008 Anne moved to Lawrenceville, Ga., where she joined Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church and was warmly embraced by the Wesley Sunday School Class.
She became active playing bridge at the Bethesda Park Senior Center and was a fan of the Gwinnett Masters Special Olympics softball and bowling.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Carl Clark; and son, Scott Clark, of Rochester, Minn.
She is survived by son, Peter Clark, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Cindi and Bill Nash, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sandy Clark, of Titusville, N.J.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelley and Warren Bowman, of Owensboro, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Martha Clark, of Rochester, Minn.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2013, at 4 p.m., at Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors in the parlor at the church from 3:30 until 4 p.m.
