KALKASKA — Rodney “Rod” John Hoadley, age 56, of Kalkaska, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center – LTC. He was born in Saginaw on Feb. 6, 1958, to Harold and Alice (Douglas) Hoadley.
Rod enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing and watching the sunsets. He loved spending time with his family and friends and being with his dogs, Patty and Tia.
Rod was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Rod is survived by his daughter, Ann Hoadley, of Vassar; his mother, Alice Cooper, of Kalkaska; his brothers, Robert E. Hoadley, of Kalkaska, Martin D. (Jackie) Cooper, of Alden, and Craig S. (Angel) Cooper, of Kalkaska; and his 10 nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold; his brother, Richard A. Hoadley; his nephew, Brandon Hoadley; and his stepfather, Martin David Cooper Sr.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014, at noon, at the Evergreen Bible Baptist Church, with Pastor William Kuiper officiating.
