BEULAH — Jeffery Lee Lentz, of Beulah, 58, died Thursday Oct. 17, 2013, at home.
Jeff was never one to sit still and was always joking around sharing his great sense of humor with his large circle of friends. Playing music was a passion of Jeff’s, playing lead guitar in his band “Motley Stu”. On occasion he’d sit in with a band with his childhood friend, Kurt Ludetke. He always tried to make the day fun and traveled often to any amusement park with his brother, David and kids. He loved taking his boat out on Lake Michigan to fish and on clear nights star gazing. Jeff was also devoted to his family, often going to the Gathering Place for lunch with mom and dad. He was a doting grandfather to his granddaughter, who called him “Grandpa Dollar.”
He is survived by his parents, Evelyn and Don Kirby of Frankfort; children, Jeff Lentz Jr. of Flint, Nicole Lentz of Detroit, and Katherine Brittany Lentz of Beulah; granddaughter, Rhylee Ross; brothers, Gene Lentz of Frankfort, and David Stuart of New Port Richie, Fla.; sisters, Mary (Todd) Edenstrom and Lisa (David) Robinson, both of Kingsley; nieces and nephews, LaCinda (Matt) Smithers, Glen Todd Jr., Haven and Dawson Robinson, and his favorite niece, Carolyn Erickson of Frankfort. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Betty Jo Lentz; brother, Terry Stuart; and father, Eugene Lentz.
