MIDLAND — Helen Virginia Tinker, 95, of Midland, formerly of Saginaw and Traverse City, passed away Sept. 20, 2013. Known as “Ginny” she was born July 31, 1918, to Flossie and Evart Earl Hadsall and grew up in Birch Run.
Ginny worked as an executive secretary in the Metallurgical Lab at Dow Chemical in Midland for many years until her retirement.
Surviving beloved family members are her sons, Rolland and Earl Campbell; daughters-in-law, Jean and Jo Campbell; stepdaughter, Terri Helton; six grandchildren, Justin, John, Holly, Sara, Jessie and David; five great-grandchildren, Noah, Colin, Lila, Charlotte and Maxwell; and her good friend, Sue Broughton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Kenneth Tinker; and her sister, Kathleen Cuthbertson.
She is remembered best for her kind and generous spirit.
A memorial service will be held at the Hartland United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon at the church will follow the service.
