---- — MCBAIN — William Frank “Bud” Beuthin III, age 71, of McBain, passed away at Cadillac Mercy Hospital on Sept. 20.
Bud was born in Saginaw on May 16, 1942, to William and Eva (Goddard) Beuthin. He married his loving wife, Rancy, on Oct. 21, 1988, in Traverse City.
Bud started his career out as a route salesman for Taystee Bread in Saginaw. In the early years he moved his family to Traverse City and started Tom’s Vending Machines. In the early ‘90s Bud co-owned and operated six Pennzoil Quick Lubes and retired 14 years ago to spend more time at this home on the river.
He was in his element at his home on the river and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Bud is survived by his wife, Rancy, of McBain; his children, Scott Bode, of Bay City, Jane Beuthin and Bob Beuthin, both of Traverse City; as well as three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Jr.; mother and stepfather, Roy and Eva Lady; and his daughter, Sonne Beuthin.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m., at the Vogel Center Christian Reformed Church, with the Rev. Duane Timmermans officiating. Visitation will be at the church from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday and will be followed by a luncheon.
