TOLEDO, Ohio — Louis Francis Wurm, 83 years, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, in the Toledo Hospital. He was born on July 17, 1930, to Edward and Clara (Wright) Wurm.
Louis served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953.
Louis worked for the Dana Corp. as a traffic manager, from where he retired after several years of service.
He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joan of Arc Church.
Louis was a Notre Dame football fan and was a season ticket holder to their home games; he also was an avid sports fan of hockey, football, tennis, baseball and basketball. Louis loved to play golf and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Wurm; and nephew, Greg Wurm.
He is survived by his sister, Mildred (Dan) Creighton; sister-in-law, Rena Wurm; nephews, Steve (Brenda) Wurm and Randy (Anna) Wurm; nieces, Pam (Harry) Riehl, Kathy (Bill) Krupowciz, Mary (Ted) Forcier and Carol Wheat; and nephew, Kelley (Tanya) Creighton. Several great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Road, on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m., where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the mortuary on Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral Mass at St. Joan of Arc Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials may take the form of a donation to St. Joan of Arc Church.
