HARRISVILLE — Rosemary T. (Chile) Morrison, 75, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at home with her loving family at her side.
Rosemary was born May 31, 1938, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Johnson) Chile in Houston, Pa., where she spent her early childhood, moving to the Traverse City area in 1947. She attended Yuba School, Acme School, Traverse City High School and Northwestern Michigan College.
On. Jan. 11, 1969, she married the Rev. Edward Morrison. They were longtime residents of Flint, where Rosemary was a member and Sunday School teacher at Genesee Road Church of God. She also was a teacher’s aide for the Flint Community Schools. They moved to Harrisville in 2007 when Edward became pastor at Solid Rock Church of God.
Rosemary is survived by her husband; one daughter, Shannon (Robert) Rynca, of Flint; three grandchildren, Robert “Rocky,” Alyssa and Kirsten Rynca; and three brothers, twin, Samuel (Mary) Chile, of Elk Rapids, Joseph (Lorna) Chile, of Williamsburg, and Gerald Chile, of Traverse City.
Funeral services were conducted at both Harrisville and Flint with Bishop Bruce Badder officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park in the spring.
