TRAVERSE CITY — Janice Lee Jackson, 77, of Long Lake, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Munson Medical Center.
Janice was born on June 9, 1936, in Traverse City, to the late Ernest and Martha (Hine) Clark. She was married to Elmer James Jackson Jr. on June 2, 1956, in Lake Ann. Janice loved to cook for her family and friends.
She volunteered at the Methodist Youth Fellowship as well as the Timber’s Girl Scout Camp.
Janice really loved to go fishing and play euchre.
Janice is survived by her husband, Elmer; a son, Rick (Jenifer) Clark; and four grandchildren, Kristin Clark, Jordon (Brianna) Shaffer, Andrew Shaffer and Tyler Shaffer. Also surviving are two sisters, Louise (Harold) Richardson and Norma Lamphier; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Clark, Gaylene Clark and Joanne Thayer; and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne Clark, Gerald Clark, Ron Clark and Leon Clark.
In accordance with Janice’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
