TRAVERSE CITY — Jennifer Lou (Anspach) Bruyette, 61, formerly of Grand Ledge, Mich., passed away March 7, 2014. Jenny was born in Lansing on Jan. 1, 1952 to Verl and Betty (Ralph) Anspach. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Jenny was a classy, graceful lady with a lively personality. She always met the world with a “glass half full” approach and rose to the top of any situation. But if you asked her, she’d say she was just a “simple girl.”
Jenny loved her family and friends with all her heart. She was a passionate advocate for animals of any kind and loved them all. She also loved to let her creative side show in everything she did. From everyday projects to graphic artistry to commercial work, Jenny was innovative, imaginative and original in every way.
Jenny’s love for travel was partially fulfilled when she was a charter bus owner/driver. She was able to see many great places. She also loved to camp, cross country ski and spend time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Jenny is survived by her significant other Jim Leurck of Traverse City; children Ann (Steve) Barraclough of Lake Ann and Scott Boughner of Olivet; siblings Judith (Warren) McArthur of Chelsea, Ronald (Royann) Anspach of Kalamazoo and Bradley (Bernice) Anspach of Watertown, Tenn.; grandchildren Sydney and Elly Barraclough and Tristin Boughner; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jenny was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jerry Bruyette of Eaton Rapids.
