RAPID CITY — Ima Louise Engstrom, age 90, of Rapid City, passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Arbor House AFC home.
She was born April 17, 1923, in Capitan, N.M., to Lonnie G. and Hattie Nell (Stuart) Cooper. She married Myron “Mike” Engstrom in Lubbock, Texas, in 1944.
Louise was a member of the Juniper Garden Club and the First Presbyterian Church in Elk Rapids.
She enjoyed gardening, flowers and crafts.
Louise is survived by a niece, Holly Cooper, of Austin, Texas; and a nephew, Lon Cooper, of Chula Vista, Calif.
Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her brother, Ray Earl Cooper.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at noon, at the First Presbyterian Church in Elk Rapids. Burial will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City.
Memorial contributions in Louise’s name may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association or First Presbyterian Church of Elk Rapids.
