TRAVERSE CITY — Carl D. Reinking, 69, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at Munson Hospice House.
Carl was born on July 15, 1944, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to the late Otto and Clara (Jeffries) Reinking. He married Sharon, his wife of 41 years, on Nov. 7, 1964, in Detroit. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2006.
Carl owned and operated Reinking Construction for many years until his retirement in 2005.

He attended Grawn United Methodist Church and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.
Carl was honest and a man of his word; he set a great example for his family to follow.
Carl is survived by a daughter, Angela (Joe) Rogers, of Traverse City; a son, Kurt (Bonnita) Reinking, of Royal Oak; four grandchildren, Paige and Nathan Rogers and Jacob and Joshua Reinking; and a sister, Marlene (Jack) Orr.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy McCurly.
