TRAVERSE CITY — David Stasinski, age 50, of Traverse City, died peacefully at Munson Medical Center on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. He was a loving, kind young man and a delight to his family.
David participated at Grand Traverse Industries (GTI) for many years. He loved all of their activities and outings. Through the years he had made many friends there.
David brought joy to many people with his big smile, always shaking their hands and saying, "Hey, you." He loved to joke around and always had a lot of good camaraderie going on. One special interest and enjoyment to him were the Batman, Spiderman and Superman characters.
He is survived by his sisters, Ramona Williams, of Traverse City, Lorraine (Patrick) Smith, of Interlochen, Susan (Gary) Fineout, of Wisconsin, and Monica Stasinski, of Kingsley; brother Leonard Stasinski Jr., of Cadillac; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 6 p.m., with a rosary recitation to follow at 6 p.m., at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 a.m., at Covell Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Oakwood Catholic Diocesan Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Special Olympics.
