KINGSLEY — Allen Lee Donnelly, 52, of Kingsley, passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at his home.
Allen was born on Oct. 19. 1961, in Traverse City, to Timothy Lee and Donna Maxine (Casselman) Donnelly. He married Deborah Lorion on Feb. 5, 1999, in Traverse City.
Allen was a hard worker all of his life. He worked at Tom’s Food Markets, drove truck for Hahnenberg Moving and Storage, Cherry Growers, J&S Dairy, Prairie Farms and most recently Arts Auto Parts.
Hunting, fishing, woodworking and NASCAR were all hobbies that Allen enjoyed.
Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his family. He was a wonderful son, husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving Allen are his wife, Deborah; children, Allee, Scott (Liza) Petersen, Josh (Lindsey) Petersen, Kirt (Chelsea) Grow and Kyle Grow; grandchildren, Hannah, Thomas, Caden, Brandon, Nathan, Gavin and Kamrin; mother, Donna; sister, Sue (Terry) Wilkins; father and mother-in-law, Bruce and Janette Lorion; brother-in-law, Charles Lorion; and many other loving family members and friends.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Timothy; and brother, Joseph.
Visitation for Allen will take place today, March 2, 2014, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 4 p.m. Monday, March 3, also at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with a visitation from 3 to 4 p.m. Deacon Rene Hoenschied will officiate.
