FLETCHER, N.C. — John Calhoun Sterritt IV, 43, of Fletcher, N.C., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. John was born in Chicago, Ill., a native of Traverse City, and was the son of John Calhoun Sterritt III of Asheville, N.C., and the late Barbara Aussem.

After graduating from law school and passing the North Carolina State Bar John began his law practice in Asheville. John loved living and working in Asheville and was greatly respected for his integrity, professionalism and compassion as an attorney. John was a member of several law organizations in Asheville and North Carolina.
John is survived by a loving family; a son, Cal and Cal’s mother, Sara Findley, and soon to be born son in May; and his mother, Olga Kovalsky.
