WAYLAND, MICH. — Ivanna Lea (Russell) Swainston, 75, known to her siblings as Tootie, passed away unexpectedly in Wayland, Mich., on Feb. 20, 2014.
Ivanna was the youngest of 12 children born to Clarence and Margaret (Southbird) Russell. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and eight of her siblings, Ivan, Mary, Isaac, the twins, Carl ‘Chief,’ Myrtle and William ‘Bill.’
Ivanna is survived by her children, Linda (Chris) Cook, Walter (Sherry) Bush, James Bush and April Bush; grandchildren, Samantha Cook, Bryant Bush, Bud Johnston, Silas Bush, Summer Bush, Heather Bush, Hunter Hooker and Illianna Bush; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Doris ‘Sue’ Struble, Nettie Keusch and Eddie ‘Jake’ Russell.
Ivanna was a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians and attended the Salem Indian Mission.
Friends visited with her family on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Middleville, where her service was held.
